| FAIR (Data) | Data that are Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable. This is the international standard for Open Science. |
| Metadata | “Data about data”. Descriptive information (author, date, format) allowing to understand and find a dataset. |
| PGD / DMP | Data Management Plan. A document describing how data will be produced and managed during and after a project. |
| DOI / Identifier | A unique persistent identifier assigned to a dataset to guarantee its long-term citation and traceability. |
| Repository | A secure online platform where researchers deposit, describe, and publish their datasets for sharing. |
| Recherche Data Gouv | The French national ecosystem dedicated to sharing and opening research data. |
| Data Workshop | A local support structure (like ADELE) certified to assist researchers on the ground. |
| Sensitive Data | Data whose dissemination is restricted by law (personal data, health, national security, industrial secret). |
| Data Curation | The process of cleaning, organizing, and describing data to ensure its quality and reusability. |
| Open Data | Data that is freely accessible, usable, modifiable, and shareable by anyone for any purpose. |
